I kind of figured that it was a funeral procession, hence my response.

Don't get me wrong though, I don't think that wishing death on someone is always negative. It seemed to me that you were looking forward to it...

Isn't being brain-dead equivalent to being dead?

But I must be quiet...all those psychic attacks have had their toll on me...

I woke up yesterday with a hardness, a sense of unease, a tension around my groin area...My underwear was puffed up and tenting...

I almost pissed out of the bowl...Then it slowly subsided.

What could it mean?

Has the shaman been attacking me?

PostSubject: Kundalini   Wed Feb 18, 2009 7:28 pm

Ancestral Ghosts
hungry for grace
called out to me
to change my pace
and bring honor
to my race
In South Africa ’s climb
where Apartheid ’s pace
scorned a race
I had no care
for the Blackman’s case
Spiritual haze
is a Protestant phase
Metaphysics put me in a daze
So I did nothing
to answer the ghostly call
I continued my act
wheeling and dealing
on material stage
scheming for cash
and playing pinball
refusing to acknowledge
any Spirit at all
Then late one night
as I sat upon my couch
some force stirred within
an electric coil unwound
and flung me to the ground

Oh what rage unleashed
as I thrashed and groped around
confused and angered beyond recall
a primeval force re-found
a soul deceived by Lucifer’s Fall
had now rebound
roaring like an animal
far out into the Cosmos
I howled my anguished sound
Who had conceived my disgrace
My wife frightened out of wits
rushed frantic to the wall
grabbed her religious bits
and thrust them before my face
I stared dumbly at the token
still roaring like a beast
in the grip of a primal thrust
I brushed aside the hokum
and saw nothing I could trust
The roars finally abated
leaving me out of grace
my thirst for truth unslated
staring mutely into space

PostSubject: Re: Extra Sensory Perception   Wed Feb 18, 2009 7:49 pm

We have 6 senses yes? Sight, Sound, Touch, Taste, Smell and Kinetic.

Those senses are filtered by perception, then filtered again by awareness which picks up on only what is required given the environment and circumstances at that particular time.

Through this process, much of our sensory experience is excluded from our self conscience experience... but that the full sensory experience occured, is not in doubt... even if we cannot perceive it consciously.

It is no suprise then that we can 'sense' a presence in the room that we have not seen or heard. Maybe the slightest of breezes from the opening of a door, alerted our touch senses, maybe a new smell was sensed on their arrival... Whatever the case... knowing someone is in the room without actually perceiving the sensory data... is not ESP.

The brain is not required to alert us to the neural thinking going on in the background... that goes on 24/7. Rather, it is an efficient machine that will interprit it surrounds and provide you with the most likely outcome given the rational and emperical measures it applies... that there is another presence.

Our brain can also get this wrong... so that sometimes it will tell you that there is another presence... and there is not! Such people will claim these mistakes of the brain, not to be mistakes and that a spirit or ghost was present. In reality though, one of the most likely reasons for this would be an open window, a gust of slight breeze, wafting the smell of other human walking past, outside at the time, into the room you are in.

Before any claim to ESP can be established... our knowledge of the minds inclination to intuition must first be understood.

I suspect that the human mind is more powerful than we wot of... with that we don't understand, but which is normal to us, misinterprited in our desperate need to understand and control.

All very nicely reasoned. Life would be easy if that was all there was too it.

THAT is the $64,000 question.
It is, in fact, impossible
20 billion years of evolutionary experience make the variables almost infinite.

The reason why the human brain cannot be sufficiently-explained is because it is changing & evolving as we speak.

Therefore, not only must you give an accurate description of how the human mind works now or in the past, but you must account for the future as well.

This is true... and the most inexplicable of those things occur within hospitals.

I read somewhere... In the Weekend Aussie or their mag... a couple of weeks ago, that some hospitals are going to form a part of a trial in which near death experiences are to be studied.

Too many compelling 'out of body' experiences have occured and they want to study it.

Then there are the 'miricle cures' of those close to death and expected to dye of a serious illness such as cancer who then begin a quick and inexplicable recovery.
They are rare... but they do happen.

Hospitals are the place to go if you want to experience strange phenomina and not haunted houses and the like.

Nothing is impossible... just highly improbable.

I guess you don't know about the research going on into quantum computers which are expected to be in use in approx 50yrs...
Such a computer would be able to cope with those variables.
Maybe then... our intuitive prowess could be studied.

There are literally tens of thousands of case files in the hospitals at Lourdes.
Most miraculous claims have been dismissed
Hundreds remain inexplicable
Over the past 150 years, some sixty cases have been signed off after exhaustive tests by the professional medical establishment as miraculous.
Blind eyes have seen.
Atrophied limbs have become whole.

Not only in Lourdes does this kind of thing happen.

My Mother, who was a nurse, has seen once, during her training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, an inexplicable cure, of cancer in a woman who was expected to die on the weekend she started to recover.

Her recovery took 2 weeks.

Cancer went from rapant to non existent. WTF????

All illness is psycho-somatic
If the spirit is at peace
the body is healthy

Oh give me a break...

Remind me to tell that to my 6 year old niece when she has her next cold.

I send her for some psychotherapy, for clearly, a cold signifies significant psychological trauma.

LOL.... What a stupid idea.

since science cannot cure the common cold
send her to a shaman
they deal with spiritual ailments
I have never seen a shaman
with a cold
have you?

Freudian psychology does not work on colds
or much else for that matter

Maybe.
But let me ask you this
have you ever wondered why
doctors and nurses
who work daily in heavily infected areas
rarely get sick?

You wanna know why health professionals in hospitals don't get sick..... Shheeeez!

Have you never seen the pump packs filled with disinfection which you as a visitor are expected to use? Did you know that health professionals use them numerous times during the day?
Have you ever wondered about what those gowns and masks are used for? Never heard of barrier nursing?

Do you honestly believe that these health professionals lack knowledge of the infection cycle and infection control and that they rely on hockus pockus of the kind you bandy around?

You need to find your gripp on reality.
