NATURE AND VANITY

Swastika

The Duck is the most metaphysical of animals. He inhabits the Trinity; all three worlds, Land, Air and Water. ▿◃▵▷

Duck- the character

Thus, hieroglyphic writing representing a duck is read in Egyptian as sȝ, the consonants of the word for this animal. Nevertheless, it is also possible to use the hieroglyph of the duck without a link to the meaning in order to represent the phonemes sȝ, independent of any vowels which could accompany these consonants, and in this way write the words: sȝ, "son," or when complemented by other signs detailed further in the text, sȝ, "keep, watch"; and sȝṯ.w, "hard ground".

Two Ducks

Ships sent course'd long since past/
find not the ports for which they cast/
but others than had been there last.

Duck Pond

All the cryptic pages in the book of your life have turned,
the rope has come off its axis, and the bomb swung into the sun.
Your life and death amount to a nuclear blast on the surface of the sun.

it is the day.

this is the night of noon.

Fishers (unfinished)

Content with candy?
Little twinkle in your eye/
like a star up in the sky/

Vanity of Morality,
huge and ridiculous:
like the oaf/
who only slowly and gradually realizes/
that he is walking/
on a strange people's burial land.

Dervish

Beauty, Truth and Morality,
Are each the daughters/
of Piety.

When Beauty wants/
to put up her hair,
Wires tighten/
on her wrists fair.

Truth in dress/
locks twisted back,
Wires pierce/
her pupils black.

Pretty Morality/
her hair twisted with ties,
Wires tourniquet-amputate/
her at the thighs.

To exalt/
is to torture these lovely girls,
if their hair's not plain/
but up in curls.

Alexi,

I LOVE your art, very, very good.

It really is some of the best I've seen in my life, truly.

Then again, I don't get out much, LOL.
