PostSubject: banning an entire forum?   Sat Feb 16, 2013 5:54 am

well the hackers called onlineguardian (expletitive)
has banned the sister forum of this one dissident-philosophy/lifediscussion
they give you a form to contest the banning which conveniently for them
does not work as the code you have to type in is missing

but what i am trying to understand is
why ban an entire forum?

why can they just not argue logically against what they disagree with
or
just remove the allegedly offensive post
now
i know i am the type of person who compulsively has to shout
'the emperor has no clothes'
and
i just cannot help this being a scots-irish-african

but
it is obvious that onlineguardian
are stifling free speech
for banning the entire forum

its like destroying the entire internet because someone offended you

now i can only ASSUME the reasons being
that onlineguardian is a supporter of the alleged south african govt
which i DARED to point out is corrupt

of course it could be any dozen posts that i made

but as they give no logical answer and do not even know how to build a website form
then
onlineguardian most probably are pedophiles as i dared disagree with that

well this forum
will probably be next to go

free speech on the net?
nooo way
only free smut allowed

'the emperor has no clothes'

Indeed...this, however, doesn't change the fact that the emperor IS the emperor.

Naked or not: he can still have you executed.

Sorry, Jon, but that ain't it.

The original forum was dumped because it had become a nexus for pedophiles.

By the way: this iteration is even deader than the original (but, at first glance, seems pedo-free).

An unsullied corpse.

JAB,

please update me. I dropped out of the forum some time back. I dropped back to see what was going on. It's closed??????

GUARDIAN
What has the guardianonline got to do with DPF?

If relevant: the Guardian was subverted by the UK Establishmen long ago, just recently, it has become more aggressively censorious. Behind its public face as liberally 'inclusive', it is ideologically exclusive. Its 'politics' are concentrated on issues of race & gender (dead PC!). This duality is used to obscure the underlying CLASS issues; like, how come 1% of obscenely rich bank owners rule the world & its media.

The Guardian, &/or its software, exclude posts of a radical CONTENT by objecting to FORMS of expression. So 'offensive' posts can, in practice, be almost anything the Establshment does not like. Giving offence is now a crime in the eyes of POTUS emperor, Big Brother Bojangles. And he is soooooo PC!

The Gurner's sister fake-liberal sheet, The Independent, is following suit by clamping down on dissident posters.

JOINING DOTS
The world is nearing a catastrophic banking collapse, bad or worse than in 1930.
Severe global civil unrest is near-certain.

POTUS Bojangles has stocked up with 2 billion (yes) rounds of anti-personnel (dum-dum bullets) ammunition, & annuled habeas corpus - all for 'homeland security'. He is most prolly going to provoke a showdown by seizing guns from owners citizens (unconstitutional), start nationwide gunfights, then announce martial law, which will involve pullng the plug on free internet exchanges.

If democracy falls in the USA, it will fall everywhere.

With the facade of democracy gone, the 1% of super-rich will rule the world directly, by brute money & gun power. The 1% is quite ready to exterminate billions of 'surplus' people, beginning with dissidents.

Buy a gun, tell your friends, or head for the hills. If you have posted here, you are on a 'list'

If you sit still & dumb, pack a case & wait for the 0300 bell for the Auschwitz Special.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for you.

Why am I being bombarded with repeated advertising pop-ups here, in a bizarre language? More hacking?

Again: The original forum was dumped because it had become a nexus for pedophiles.

There's no deeper reason than that.

Henry Quirk,

I'm looking for info, thanks.
Who banned the forum?
Obviously the entire forum has not been 'dumped' or we could not be here. So what has been blocked?
What has The Guardian to do with the ban?
'Pedos' were using the forum? To do what? Promote their perversion or find victims?

I clicked the 'turn off the cookies' box & got rid of the spam blizzard of ad pop-ups.

"Who banned the forum?"

I imagine these folks...

http://www.freeforumshosting.net/

https://www.phpbb.com/

...by way of the 'guardian'.

#

"Obviously the entire forum has not been 'dumped' or we could not be here."

"This' place is not the original but only a clever facsimile with no connection to the original beyond 'looking' the same.

#

"'Pedos' were using the forum? To do what? Promote their perversion or find victims?"

Promotion, mostly. Loads of pseudo-science posted to justify child rape.

I imagine amidst the promotion was a little trawling as well.

Henry Quirk,

thanks, clearer;

" 'This' place is not the original but only a clever facsimile with no connection to the original beyond 'looking' the same."

Curious, & are you the same Heny Quirk I seem to recall from previous years? If so, you don't read like the original.

HA!

Yeah, I'm the one and only 'me'.

If I 'read' differently it's probably 'cause we -- you and me -- aren't squabbling with, and *insulting, one another... Wink

*you named me 'captain jerk'; I named you 'poo-bear/shitbear'...the good old days...HA!

The Doc,
time is a constant process of decay (entropy, so-called), which is necessary for re-creation. But time is not linear, actually, just a component of the space-time continuum. So if we can travel fast enuf, we age less. Thass why I try shuffling faster to the grog shop, but my legs don't get no younger, just slower.

Imp-pulse,
the universe can't leak. It's e/thing there is, so there's not nowhere for nothin' to leak to. Unless you throw in extra dimensions. Then it's a problem to know when to stop. Enuf dimensions, then a/thing & e/thing is possible. Dunno about science, but that cuts no ice in a court of law. Eg., "That wasn't me what done it, judge. It musta bin a doppelganger, wandered into this dimension from another timeline." Best that gets is a psychiatric report.

Imp-pulse,
please don't feel intimidated, & don't please complain to the moderators. You may get the forum closed for cross-dimensional insensitivity.

Hey, Imp!

Hey, Doc!

#

"if we can travel fast enuf, we age less"

Nope.

I'm in a ship goin' just under light speed: for me, everything is normal...I'm aging as I always do. I look back on folks on earth and, Lordy, you're all moving like Jay Garrick (though, to you, everything is normal).

You, looking at me, see me move as SpongeBob's pet.

It's all relative (as in, the theory of relativity)...frames of reference that either jibe or don't jibe.

Now: if you wanna say, 'if we can travel fast enuf, we age less as compared to those who don’t travel fast', that works... Wink

banning an entire forum and not talking about the latter?

making a new case for unestablished ideals and idealists.

what is philosophy? if the universe is everything, was the knowledge of it a true match?

Imp-pulse,

'if the universe is everything, was the knowledge of it a true match?'

In philosophy, the base question is s/times presented as Russell's Antinomy. Eg., if I have an idea of the universe as e/thing existing, then the idea in my head is NOT part of the universe, so that 'universe' is not complete.

AFAIK, neither philos nor scence has solved that conundrum.

PostSubject: Re: banning an entire forum?   Thu Mar 14, 2013 1:39 pm

from wiki, russell's antinomy:

Quote :

informal presentation
Let us call a set "abnormal" if it is a member of itself, and "normal" otherwise. For example, take the set of all geometrical squares. That set is not itself a square, and therefore is not a member of the set of all squares. So it is "normal". On the other hand, if we take the complementary set that contains all non-squares, that set is itself not a square and so should be one of its own members. It is "abnormal".

Now we consider the set of all normal sets, R. Determining whether R is normal or abnormal is impossible: If R were a normal set, it would be contained in the set of normal sets (itself), and therefore be abnormal; and if R were abnormal, it would not be contained in the set of all normal sets (itself), and therefore be normal. This leads to the conclusion that R is neither normal nor abnormal: Russell's paradox.

ok, that is just an answer to my question. there seems to be a normal elegance to it all the same.

HQ,

' Now: if you wanna say, "if we can travel fast enuf, we age less as compared to those who don’t travel fast", that works...

Nope: what I wrote stands. Your ' - as compared to those -' excludes the inanimate, like my piano. That also ages, but faster, as long as it is stationary as I go faster.

'Less', 'more', 'faster' are comparatives, so necessarily refer to relations. That has little or nothing to do with Einstein's Relativity Theory.
