Apparently, since the adult population of Amerika is so childish, inept, and just plain stupid, we need children teaching adults now.

Take a look here and watch with glee how the adults in this interview squirm & react to the child's presence.

It makes me embarrassed to think of our current state of the world...

There are variances of intelligence. Some people will reach at age 11 an intelligence that others will never reach in their lifetime.

It is not offensive that this 11 year old should teach an adult in such circumstances, their age is a tangential characteristic.
The above sentence should more properly be 'it is not offensive that this genius should teach an idiot'.

What is offensive is the notion that we should judge someone's relative intellectual development purely on their relative physical development; that a genius should be forced under the authority of a moron on no basis beyond prejudice, cultural inertia, and the ability for their teachers and guardian's to, when push comes to shove, physically overpower them or remove their means of sustenance.

There are children who have the level of mental development that you currently have. Would you, at the stage you are now at, find it reasonable to be placed into the conditions present in a child's life? No wonder she reads two books a day, it is deep escapism, the only empowering act for a beautiful bird in a gilded cage.
