PostSubject: Re: The Feminization of Man   Tue Feb 03, 2009 5:57 am

Satyr I envy neither the sheep, the shepherd nor the sheepdog, although having said that; the life of a shepherd is not one without merit. He trains a wolf to keep the sheep in check and warn of danger to his flock then sits on a rock, thinking until the sun goes down when he wraps a sheepskin around his shoulders and munches on a lamb-bone, patting his little doggie for good work well done. Nice work if you want it and can get it.

I have provided you with a paragraph outlining succinctly a perspective by a well-known philosopher on inter-group dynamics and how some traits that are not obviously advantageous in one environment might survive and become survival traits in another.

Subject to change.

Lions exist precisely because gazelle exist. Without the gazelle the lions starve. Indeed the lions and the tigers and the other large carnivores are on the brink of extinction because humans first hunted away most of the wild game and then domesticated the rest which are now slowly and steadily munching and trampling away at remaining wild habitats. Thus man has brought man to THE EDGE simply because of his ability to EXPLOIT the resources around him.

'Forgive him m'lud his BRAINS made him do it.' He did it becuase he could; Guilty as charged. Is it a viable defence to say that NATURE evolved him that way?

And THERE is the RUB. Humans are getting exactly what they 'deserve'; to use a tired, old value judgement. Evolution has placed man right where he is. AT HER FEET. And believing in god, santa, everlasting life or oblivion won't make one jot of difference, though some derive comfort from myopia; it blurs things.

The danger of thinking that one is above all animals, indeed above nature itself, and not one of them, and part of it. Whether that superiority complex comes from religion or something else. Well.....

Do you trust nature or man to get himself out of this mess? If you trust man; then how exactly do you propose man intervenes? Technology? Gene manipulation? War? As I am asking do summise that I am interested in your answer. Take it as read that I DON'T trust man to do it. So will I leave to nature to 'decide' what is sustainable and what is not.; what might have it's uses in the future and what might not?

You decide.

WAITING FOR "THE FINAL PLAGUE"
A Talk with Nathan Wolfe

'We should be and we can be doing a much better job to predict and prevent pandemics. But the really bold idea is that we could reach a point--and this is a distant point in the future--where we become so good at this that we really reach a point where we have the "final plague," and where we are really capable of catching so many of these things that new pandemics become an oddity. I think that is something that we should certainly have as an ideal.'

Imagine a future where there is nothing, but man.

The case rests.

From your list of 'things I wouldn't do to survive'; a list of 'ideals' by another name. Am I to assume that sometimes ideals have their uses? Don't lie to me now.

To me they do.

They prevent me of losing my self in the piles of shit that, often, calls itself humanity.

Imagine wanting to associate with all that feces and then thinking that you, somehow, deserve respect, because of it.

One can lose because they are inept, as well.

But flattering yourself, while saying nothing at all, is what minds like yours thrive on.

Other than you displaying what feminization means, do you have anything to say pertaining to the subject at hand, or are you only here to be noticed?

Thanks for the advice, even if it wasn't directed at me.

My solution is pissing on the wall, or spray-painting it with graffiti.

Sometimes, you nitwit, when a nut is too hard to crack with your soft hands, you blame the nut for not giving in to your feeble needs to eat its inner morsel.

It's your way of avoiding the realization that it is your hands that are soft, in relation to the nut, not that the nut is impenetrable.

I am a hard NUT indeed.
Not meant to be tasted by weakling like you.
Best bury me for another...or forget I exist.

I love you sweetums.

When and if the low, annoying, Drone of stupidity actually makes a coherent, rational argument, on any subject, notify me.
Until then I'll be asleep in the corner, listening to it buzz from thread to thread, saying nothing at all.

Woman, btw.

I'm not fighting a battle.
And I'm not talking to a wall.

For satyr:

Through lane it lay, through bramble,
Through clearing and through wood,
Bandatti often passed us
Upon the lonely road.

The wolf came purring curious,
The owl looked puzzled down,
The serpent's satin figure
Glid stealthily along.

The tempest touched our garments,
The lightening's poignards gleamed,
Fierce from the crag above us
The hungry vulture screamed.

The satyr's fingers beckoned,
The valley murmured "Come" -
These were the mates - and this the road
Those children fluttered home.

The Platitudes of My Life (buried on ILP some time ago Smile

Life is a struggle.
The past is history.
The future is unknown but predictable.
What has been predicted is subject to change.
It is possible to go back but it won't be the same.
Resources are expendable.
It can be viewed from a number of perspectives.
Every thing on earth is related.
If there are too many there won't be enough.
A whole is a centre with extremities.
If humans did not need gods; gods would cease to exist.
Be prepared for the worst.
Listen.
Wise words last.
If you don't love yourself blame your parents then do something about it.
One is alone with one's thoughts.
Kick then prepare to be bitten.
Cruelty is neither honest nor kind. It's just cruel.
If you feel something; that's life.
It is sometimes necessary to state the obvious.

Leans against the wall and whistles.

Oooh Satyr, I just saw Fight Club for the first time a few days ago. What an incredible movie that was.

It got annoying when Brad Pitt entered the scene on the plane, though. I hate that fag.

Have you read the book SilentSoliloquy? Far superior to the film. Aimed at men but speaks also to women.

From the author: "all my books are about a lonely person looking for some way to connect with other people" but, of course, it goes a little deeper than that.

Humans should be free, of the 'self' and of 'controllers', to choose their own future and reach their full 'potential'. Life is a struggle; against all that would prevent this goal being reached.

PostSubject: Re: The Feminization of Man   Fri Feb 06, 2009 12:34 pm

Ok, but does it have to be an essay of over 400 words? I only have like 30 mins left on this computer because my laptop accidently smashed into my wall and cracked the screen a week ago. The community library is a kind, yet unsuspecting place to allow me use of its technological facilities. I can relate to the narrator in Fight Club who blew up his studio apartment overlooking the city, it was my life, except it was my computer.... I want to kiss it and hold it and tell it I didn't mean to kill it and sing "but it's too late baby now it's too late though we really did try to make it". I don't have the $150 to replace the frame so I just gotta deal with the windy walk to an old lady volunteering at the desk everyday.

So the deal with the message of the movie was that things would be better in an anarcho-primitivist society. My day consists of waking up unemployed, opening the curtains to a mcdonalds sign across the street and a warehouse wall on the backside. I make bacon and eggs. Turn on the tv. Drink my coffee. Get dressed and smear paint on my face (make-up is growing on me, that, and my tight butt hugging pants). Then I go walk around and hope something terrific happens that doesn't normally when I stroll past the hotels, motels, restaurants, grocery stores, surf shops, and other consumer capitalist eye sores that flood the streets. No one is around. It's like a ghost town...of stores that haunt it. The cars go by. I feel so small.

The moral of the story is things should be blown up and we shouldn't be avoiding doing so because we're conditioned to be so polite and 'feminine' (in the modern sense of the word) we're afraid to fight for ourselves out of defense.

I'd rather wake up to a rainforest full of adventure with huts of family and friends all around me. I would go start my day working for myself in a free market with no taxes or exchange value. Or perhaps more realistically walking to the mcdonalds and then to the bank and onward spreading WMDs like johnny appleseed.

Of course there was plenty more to the movie, that's just my take. I was surprised that it wasn't about underground street fighting, but a white collar schitzo.

I also have an extremely short attention span so I normally pause movies after 15-30 minutes and forget the rest.

Then, I think, you've missed the best part of the movie.

All that you said is true, but the message, for me, was this:

Not all can be free.

1-You free a mind from his slavery and he becoems yours.
Free-spirits are rare.
Mankind is not a concept to fight over.
Certain parts of mankind are.

2- Manhood has gone underground...literally.
The only way to be male, in its fullest extent, is to hide it ion basements and express it in hiding.
A masculine spirit must now adopt feminine ways to preserve the better part of itself.
I include women in this.
he must live a double life; a schizophrenic life, where he is truly one way, in public, and another in private or amongst his own.

3- In order to build, you msut first destroy.
you can't work with the very thing you wish to destroy, from within it.
It will subvert your efforts and extinguish your desire with fatigue.

Like the building exploding, or those recruits that had to be first broken, every gain cotnains a cost, as every cost contains a gain.
